What Goes Around Comes Around

“What Goes Around Comes Around.” Paul Krump, from his 1962 book, “Burn Killer Burn!”

A friend of mine shared a story of how he made a point to give one of his tips (usually around $20), every day, to a homeless man. This went on for 18 months, and then the homeless man disappeared. My friend was set to move to a new place, and suddenly the homeless man re-appeared on his favored corner, but without a sign asking for help, and standing next to a bicycle. My friend asked him if he was OK and the homeless man said, “Yes! Everything is great. I wanted to tell you that I saved every dollar that you gave me and got an apartment. I am not longer homeless because of you. Thank you!”

My friend has a few stories like this, and they are all tear-jerkers. This is in the kind of kindness that they make movies about, and something we just don’t hear enough of.

He told me that every time he does this, he makes money. He gets new clients, sells packages, etc. There is always a direct kick back from the Universe when he follows his gut with his generosity. He doesn’t do this to make money, but there is always some kind of immediate reward for his soul-prompted urge to help another fellow human being.

I shared this story, and others, with several people over the past month and found it it be very inspiring.

Yes! What goes around comes around.

You can make a difference in this world right now, and if you feel inspired or curious, chances are you are supposed to!
